SUNFLOWER SEEDS AND PUMPKIN SEEDS
Roasted & Salted Pumpkin Seeds
Consumption of Pumpkin Seeds dates back as far as the Aztec era in South America, later global trade introduced them to Europe, where eating pumpkin seeds became popular (especially in Greece).
How are pumpkin seeds eaten?
These pumpkin seeds require 'shelling' first before consuming (as opposed to their cousins 'pepitas' - which can be eaten whole)
In Europe people place the pumpkin seed between their teeth and crack the seed coat open then remove the seed coat from the inner kernel and discard the seed coat. They then eat the softer inner pumpkin seed.
Roasted & Salted Sunflower Seeds
Sunflower seeds originated in Central America and were later introduced to other parts of the world.
